Nokia s40 Configurations

Posted by vonne at 3:05 PM
Here is the Nokia s40 Configurations.

Legends
  • 'A phone' - extra phone to be used to transfer files(must be bluetooth capable)
  • 'B phone'- your own phone to be set for a free mobile internet

1. Download the provisioning files below depending on your network.

2. After downloading, connect 'A phone' to the computer using a connector cable, if you dont have a connector cable, switch off your phone and remove your memory card and insert it in a memory card reader.

3. Once you are connected to a pc with any of the 2 methods above, copy the downloaded provisioning file and paste it in your phone's external memory(memory card). If pasting is successful, get your phone and browse the provisioning file, if you would open that file,it will show a 'File not supported' prompt. Thats okay guys.

4. Next, transfer that file to the ' B phone' via bluetooth. You will receive that as a Configuration Setting. Save it.

5. Then go to Settings- > Configurations-> Default Configuration Settings- > find the name of the provisioning file that we saved earlier(I think for Globe, find vonneGLOBEusa250,and Smart-113 for Smart)then Options->Set As Default, then press down arrow twice, you will see the Preferred Access Point, find and select same name of the Configuration setting( again vonneGLOBEusa250 for Globe and Smart-113 for Smart)then Select Activate default in All Applications (select yes),it is just above the Preferred access p0int.

We are now done configuring our phone. Click here to Proceed to the final step.
